These are the mountains of Romania. This particular vantage point is somewhere on the trail from Babele Natural Monument towards Omu peak.

I absolutely love this image, but there’s not a lot more I can say about it. I look at it, for a little bit, almost every-time I happen to come across it in my library.

Oh, and I took this shot with a sprained wrist, as I had just taken a nasty fall on some black ice.
