I came across this tree in the mountains of Romania, somewhere near Maneciu dam.

I had no idea, when I took the shot, that it’d turn into an image I love so much. Probably, I think, because the hike I was on at the time was pretty awful: the entirety of the path I was walking was terribly muddy; and, other than this tree, there was nothing interesting to see.
